The members of Lake of Isles in North Stonington, Conn., were able to take their first swings at the private South (Private) Course on April 19. The Rees Jones-designed course features rolling terrain, island tees and greens and outstanding views.

New Operator for Lyman Orchards
|

|
Lyman Farms, operated continuously since 1741, and Billy Casper Golf (“BCG”) have announced that BCG has been selected to manage Lyman Orchards’ 36-hole golf facility in Middlefield, Conn. The facility adds to the company’s nationwide portfolio, which now encompasses 52 properties in 19 states and the District of Columbia. The semiprivate facility is BCG’s third property in Connecticut.

Wintonbury Hills Honored
|

The Town of Bloomfield and Billy Casper Golf (“BCG”) have announced that Wintonbury Hills Golf Course has been named Connecticut’s No. 1 facility by Golfweek in the magazine’s 10th annual, state-by-state ranking of “America’s Best Courses.” This distinction marks the second consecutive year Wintonbury Hills has been rated the state’s top facility. The only Pete Dye design in New England, Wintonbury Hills was selected from the state’s roughly 200 public courses.
