NCAA Champion Lewis to Play Arkansas LPGA Event

University of Arkansas golfer and 2007 NCAA Women's National champion Stacy Lewis has accepted a sponsor's exemption to play in the inaugural LPGA NW Arkansas Championship presented by John Q. Hammons. The Tournament will be held September 3-9 at Pinnacle Country Club in Rogers, Ark.

Lewis Selected for 2007 Dinah Shore Trophy Award

University of Arkansas player Stacy Lewis is the 2007 recipient of the Dinah Shore Trophy Award. Lewis received the award, administered by The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Foundation, on May 25 during the annual National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) Women's Golf Banquet. The banquet was held in conjunction with the 2007 Division I NCAA Women's Golf Championship at the Plaza Resort & Spa in Daytona Beach, Fla.

New Course Underway in Arkansas

Work on a 500-acre development that includes a golf course is underway in El Dorado, Ark. Pete Parks is the backer of the Union County project, and Ken Dye is the designer of the layout, tentatively to be called Mystic Creek Golf Club.
