Shingle Creek Golf Club in Orlando will show its respect for the men and women who have helped serve the U.S. by giving free greens fees on Memorial Day, May 29, to U.S. military personnel.
The offering encompasses all personnel who have a military ID card, including those who are active or retired, as well as members of the National Guard. The only fee not included in the offer is for golf carts, which are $25 per cart.
"This is just a small way for us to say 'thank you' to the people who work so hard in serving our country," says Dave Scott, director of golf at Shingle Creek Golf Club. "We know it's a small gesture, but it's our way on Memorial Day of showing the appreciation we have for those who do so much or have done so much protecting our freedom. We’re especially grateful to those U.S. military involved with the war in Iraq."
