Work on Jack Frost National Golf Club Finishing Up |
|
The Pocono Mountains Vacation Bureau, Inc. has announced that Jack Frost National Golf Club in Blakeslee has welcomed its first 25 charter members. With the success of the sale of the first 25 charter memberships, Jack Frost National has decided to release an additional 25 charter memberships. The benefits include a transferability component as well as a refundable aspect of the membership.
The resort course, which will be open to the public, anticipates hosting its first event this fall for members and media. The official grand opening is scheduled for spring 2007. Jack Frost National was originally planned to open this fall. However, an inordinate amount of rain this spring and summer delayed its debut.
Upon opening, Jack Frost National Golf Club will join more than 35 resort and golf properties that are home to hundreds of holes of golf in the mountains of northeastern Pennsylvania.
Jack Frost National is an 18-hole championship course that will stretch more than 7,200 yards from the tips. It features Lo-Mo Bluegrass fairways and Penn-4 bentgrass greens. Double-row irrigation system, five sets of tee boxes and a large practice facility are some of its other attributes.
