Work Finishing up on New Course near Fresno |
|
Construction is continuing on Ridge Creek Dinuba Golf Club. Owned by the city of Dinuba and developed by KemperSports, the public layout located 30 miles south of Fresno is scheduled to open this July.
Scottsdale, Ariz.-based John Fought designed the par-72 course, incorporating natural grasses and bunkers to produce a heathland-style track like those found in England. Construction of a clubhouse and a 360-degree practice facility, featuring the largest driving range west of the Rockies, are also nearing completion.
In late April KemperSports announced that Joe Wisocki will be the general manager of the new venue. Over the coming months Wisocki will supervise pre-opening operations and, upon the course's debut, the facility's operations.
"Joe is very seasoned in the opening and ongoing operations of premier facilities," said Steve Skinner, CEO of KemperSports. "He brings the skills from a well-established career in the golf industry to Ridge Creek as we prepare the course for its summer debut in Dinuba."
Wisocki has been a member of the PGA of America since 1992. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Benedictine College in Kansas. In 2005, he became a Certified Professional in General Management from the PGA and, in 2006, received "Merchandiser of the Year" honors by the Minnesota Section of the PGA.
