Woods Nabs 69th Career Win

Tiger Woods showed his true mettle at the Buick Open, perhaps the final time the popular tournament in Michigan will be held. Facing an eight-shot deficit after opening with a pedestrian 1-under 71, Woods came back strong to win the event.

The final three rounds for the game's top-ranked player were 63 - which got him right back in contention, 65 and a closing 69 at Warwick Hills Golf & Country Club in Grand Blanc. He finished at 20-under 268, earning $900,000 and a brand-new Buick.

Woods ended up three shots ahead of Roland Thatcher (64), Greg Chalmers (68) and John Senden (70). The victory was his 69th, which moves him to third on the PGA Tour's all-time win list.
