Wildwings Set to Take Flight

After seven years of refinement, the Wildwings Golf Course project in Woodlands, Calif., is about to proceed. The developers, Bandenburg Properties of San Jose and Coussoulis Development Co. of San Bernardino, hope to break ground on the nine-hole layout in summer 2002. The layout should be completed in fall 2003.
Besides the golf course, which is being designed by Todd Eckenrode of Origin Golf Design, the 485-acre project includes 337 single-family homes. Rob Aragon of San Jose-based Nolte Associates has been handling the master planning and permits. David Morrison, director of the Yolo County Planning Department, has coordinated the project for the county.
