TSC Golf, Inc. & Blythe Golf Group Merge

TSC Golf, Inc. of Surfside Beach, S.C., and Blythe Golf Group of Charlotte, N.C., are merging. The new company, with offices in Surfside Beach and in Charlotte, will be called Signature Golf Group, LLC. The formation of the new company brings together personnel with more than 30 years experience in golf course development, construction, marketing, financial management, operations, and evaluating golf courses for sale or purchase.

Signature Golf Group consists of experienced PGA professionals, business consultants, golf course managers and turf managers. "Signature understands that the success of a golf course is directly connected to the caliber of its management team," said president Steve Taylor. "We are committed to delivering what we call the 'Signature Experience' for our clients and their customers. We've merged the talent and expertise of two of the top golf course management and services companies in the Southeast. And, in doing so, we've created the premier company for development, construction, operational, marketing, and financial management services for golf courses."

Prior to the merger, TSC developed and marketed golf courses along S.C.'s Grand Strand for 11 years. Myrtle Beach-area clients included Wicked Stick Golf Links, Indigo Creek Golf Club, Prestwick Country Club, Diamond Back Golf Club, Brunswick Plantation & Golf Club and The Tradition Golf Club. Other clients included River Bend Links in Tunica, Miss., and Fredricksburg, Va.'s Cannon Ridge Golf Club, which was developed by TSC partner and former PGA President Gary Schaal along with former PGA Commissioner Deane Beman.

Among Blythe Golf Group’s developments are Rivers Edge Golf Club, an award-winning Arnold Palmer Signature Course in Shallotte, N.C., and Waterford Golf Club, a Hale Irwin design in Rock Hill, S.C. The nine-year-old Blythe Golf Group focused golf course development – from the idea stage through financing, course design, construction and management. The company also served as a consultant in evaluating courses for sale or purchase. In addition to Rivers Edge and Waterford Golf Club, Blythe's client list included The Palisades Country Club in Charlotte, N.C., and Timberlake Golf Club in Chapin, S.C. All TSC and Blythe Golf Group clients will now be managed by Signature Golf Group, LLC.
