Tickets to go On Sale for Monday After the Masters Celebrity Pro-Am

Hootie & the Blowfish has announced that they will host the 17th Annual Hootie & the Blowfish Monday After the Masters Celebrity Pro-Am Golf Tournament at the Dye Club at Barefoot Resort & Golf and at the House of Blues in North Myrtle Beach, S.C. on Monday, April 11, 2011.

In addition, the Hootie & the Blowfish Foundation just announced the 2010 tournament successfully doubled its previous year's fundraising with over $300,000 donated to the foundation.

"We are so appreciative of the sponsors and celebrities that participate in our tournament every year, and because of the history of the tournament, we were able to attract some of the biggest names in entertainment last year," said Darius Rucker, lead singer for Hootie & the Blowfish.

Returning to the tournament is 2010 FedEx Cup champion and 2010 PGA Tour Player of the Year, Jim Furyk. Furyk, along with teammate Rucker, ended last year's tournament in a five-way tie for second place and are looking forward to the chance to claim the top spot.

Tickets for the 2011 event go on sale on Saturday, February 26 at 11:00 a.m. They'll be available at the House of Blues, Barefoot Resort & Golf's pro shops and all Ticketmaster outlets. Tickets are $15 with children 12 years-of-age and younger admitted free. While children are admitted free, they must have a ticket to enter the event. The event has been sold out for the last five years as tournament officials can only sell a limited amount of tickets. Purchasing tickets in advance is advised.

All ticket proceeds benefit the Hootie & the Blowfish Foundation, which supports the educational needs of children in South Carolina and the South Carolina Junior Golf Foundation.

Monday After the Masters has hosted celebrity actors, sports figures and musicians. Guests have included PGA and LPGA players DJ Trahan, John Daly, Woody Austin, Kristen McPherson, and Annika Sorenstam; actors Samuel L. Jackson and Kevin Sorbo; NASCAR drivers Kyle Petty and Michael Waltrip; sports legends and personalities Ric Flair, Dan Marino, Brett Favre, Lou Holtz, Steve Spurrier, and Dan Patrick; music artists Branford Marsalis, Jason Mraz, Steve Azar (2010 MAM winner), Jack Ingram, Josh Kelly, Colt Ford and more.
