Tetherow in Bend to Open in Late July |
The course will feature Kidd's signature design traits, including links-style play that involves playing the game on the ground as well as the air. The routing fits with the natural terrain, while providing an interesting mix of holes framed by ragged bunkers, knobs and knolls. Vistas from the course take in panoramas of the Cascade Mountains and neighboring high-desert terrain.
"As we get closer to the opening of Tetherow the excitement both locally and throughout the country continues to grow," said director of golf Martin Chuck. "The striking design that David McLay Kidd has created, combined with the stunning scenery and exceptional agronomic standards will create one of the most unique, memorable and golf experiences in the region."
Tetherow will be a private club, with guests staying at the future Hotel Tetherow also given access to the course. Prior to the hotel's completion, limited guest play will be allowed two hours per day on a space available basis, starting July 27th 2008. For more information about tee times, email mchuck@tetherow.com or call 541/389-5857.
