Tennessee Parks Reduces Rates at Courses

Tennessee State Parks has introduced a new website for its Tennessee Golf Trail. The new portal (www.tngolftrail.net) displays rates, course descriptions and getaway packages to help golfers plan their next visit to one of 13 courses in the Volunteer State.
The Tennessee Golf Trail includes the eight traditional courses of and five Jack Nicklaus signature Bear Trace venues. Tennessee State Parks assumed management of four of the Bear Trace Courses in December 2005, including Chickasaw, Cumberland Mountain, Harrison Bay and Tims Ford.
Green fees for the four courses have been reduced between 20 and 30 percent for 2006. Rates vary for each course, so visit the website for costs and information about discounts and promotions.
“One of our top priorities since assuming the management of four Bear Trace courses has been to generate more interest and local play at these sites,” said Jim Webb, golf director for Tennessee State Parks. “By lowering the cost of playing the Bear Trace, we believe more people – both nearby and far away – will seek a championship golf experience set in the natural beauty of Tennessee State Parks.”
