Taos Country Club Hosts Taos Amateur Golf Tournament
Taos Country Club will host the Taos Amateur golf tournament, scheduled Saturday and Sunday, September 11-12. The tournament is open to all age groups and handicaps. Golfers can compete in flights best suited for their level of play: Championship, Senior, Ladies and Net.
"It was a pretty good turnout last year and a really fun tournament which was well received by a quality field of golfers from all over the region," said Tad Bourg, Taos Country Club's head pro. "I know it will be a great event again this year and encourage all golfers to come out and enjoy the course."
The Taos Amateur tournament, which has taken place since 1992, includes sponsors Cleveland/Srixon, Centinel Bank of Taos, Taos Tire Factory and Cottam's Ski and Outdoor. Entry fees are $160 and $85 for members, with a $15 cart fee per round. The entry fee includes green fees, prizes and lunch after completion of play on Saturday. Friday practice rounds are also available for only $35 after 12:00 p.m.. For golfers needing overnight accommodations, Comfort Inn is offering an $89 rate and Quality Inn has a $79 rate if you mention the Taos Amateur tournament.
