Sultan's Run Added to French Lick

French Lick Resort has signed a three-year management contract to operate Sultan's Run Golf Course in nearby Jasper, Ind. Sultan's Run will be the fourth course affiliated with the resort.

"I purchased Sultan's Run two years ago with the intent of restoring it back to its previous standing as one of Indiana's top public courses," said course owner Steve Braun. "With our strategic partnership with French Lick Resort and their demonstrated ability to run the top public courses in Indiana, Sultan's will get there quickly."

Sultan's Run opened in 1992 and was designed by Tim Liddy, a former associate of Pete Dye. The course occupies over 224 acres that were the former home of the race horse Supreme Sultan, who sired a record number of world champion American Saddlebred horses.

"We are pleased to add Sultan's Run to the list of French Lick golf options," said Dave Harner, French Lick's director of golf. "With our involvement and ownership's commitment to improving the caliber of the course, we are confident that this arrangement will help to make southern Indiana and French Lick Resort one of America's favorite golf destinations."

The newest course in French Lick's stable will be incorporated into the resort's stay-and-play packages. For more information about Sultan's Run, visit www.sultansrun.com or call 812/482-1009.
