Spring Special at Grand Traverse Resort
The Grand Traverse Resort and Spa in northern Michigan has announced an attractive travel package for this spring. Valued at 30% off its normal summer rates, the travel packages at the 54-hole resort in Acme are called the Championship and Great Golf Getaway packages. The promotion starts April 29 and runs through June 14.
The Championship Golf Weekend Package includes accommodations and one round of golf each day on Spruce Run, the resort’s original course. Besides a free bucket of balls each day, guests receive a discount on a second round of golf on the same day for just $30 from April 29 to May 17, and $35 from May 17 to June 14. Rates for the three-night package are $414 per person for accommodations in the Tower, and $378 per person for the hotel. Prices are based on double occupancy. The two-night packages are priced at $276 for the Tower and $252 for the hotel. (Note there’s a $20 surcharge to play either the Wolverine – designed by Gary Player – or Jack Nicklaus’ The Bear courses.)
The mid-week Great Golf Getaway Package involves two- and three-night stays. It includes unlimited golf on the Spruce Run course, designed by William Newcomb, as well as a breakfast and a bucket of balls each day. The three-night packages (double occupancy) cost $390 (Tower) and $354 (hotel). The two-night package is $260 for the Tower and $236 for the hotel. The $20 surcharge for the Wolverine and Bear courses is also in effect for this package.
The Grand Traverse Resort and Spa lies on the northwest corner of Michigan’s Lower Peninsula along the shores of Lake Michigan’s East Grand Traverse Bay. Besides 54 holes of golf and luxurious overnight accommodations, the resort features a full-service clubhouse, a bar and grille, and a Jim McLean Golf School.
