Southworth Purchases Renaissance Golf Club |
|
David Southworth and Joseph Deitch recently completed their purchase of Renaissance Golf Club near Boston for $9 million. Renaissance, which opened in 2006, is the first-ever "signature" design by golf architect Brian Silva. The club currently has about 100 members.
"Other than the Liberty National Golf Club, I have never seen a course built with such quality and attention to detail as Renaissance," said Southworth.
Southworth and Deitch completed their acquisition of the private club from Fairway Renaissance LLC of Milwaukee, Wis., on February 28. With the course finished and considered one of the finest new layouts in New England, Southworth is moving ahead on building a clubhouse facility.
"Our plan is to begin building a full-service clubhouse befitting the exceptional quality of this course as soon as possible and to have the club remain private," says Southworth.
Renaissance Golf Club is located on Boston's North Shore. The 7,161-yard, par-72 layout is augmented by extensive practice facilities and a swimming pool.
