Redstone Golf Management signs Extension with Vanderbilt Legends Club

Redstone Golf Management, a subsidiary of Houston-based Redstone Companies Hospitality, signed a three-year management extension to continue managing Vanderbilt Legends Club in Franklin, Tenn.

Redstone originally partnered with Vanderbilt University in 2006 to manage the golf club and during that time, Redstone helped to take Vanderbilt Legends Club fully private, renovate the clubhouse, redo the greens on one of its two 18-hole courses and host the Franklin American Mortgage Championship LPGA event. In addition, Redstone helped Vanderbilt Legends Club elevate the club experience, service levels and help retain golf and social memberships.

"We are thrilled to extend the partnership with Redstone Golf Management to continue managing Vanderbilt Legends Club," stated Cliff Joyner, Assistant Vice Chancellor for Real Estate Operations for Vanderbilt University. "Redstone and Vanderbilt have a mutual commitment to quality and Redstone has helped us successfully manage the Club during the economic downturn, while maintaining a great property for the membership and entire university community to enjoy."

Vanderbilt Legends Club will be hosting the upcoming 2012 NCAA Women's Golf Championship this May and redoing the greens on the second 18-hole course this summer.

"Vanderbilt University has been a great partner and continues to have a commitment to providing a first-class experience for its members and guests at Vanderbilt Legends Club," said Evan Johansen, Senior VP of Development for Redstone Companies Hospitality. "Vanderbilt is a wonderful complement to Redstone's portfolio of golf clubs with that commitment along with the tremendous facilities and member offerings."

Tucked between rolling hills, Vanderbilt Legends Club features two layouts co-designed by Hall of Fame golfer Tom Kite and architect Bob Cupp. Along with the tournament-caliber courses is a 19-acre practice facility equipped with double-tees, two putting greens and a short-game area with practice bunkers.

Since opening in 1992, Vanderbilt Legends Club has been recognized as one of Middle Tennessee's top golf facilities and hosted numerous events, including LPGA Tour tournaments, U.S. Senior Open Qualifying and U.S. Girls Junior Championship. The Club is also the home of the Vanderbilt University Men's and Women's golf teams. For more information, visit www.vanderbiltlegendsclub.com.
