Raven's Claw to Host Playboy Tournament
Raven's Claw Golf Club, a daily-fee course in Limerick, Pa., will host the Playboy Tournament on Friday, September 16.
The Playboy Tournament is a series of local golf tournaments played under scramble rules. The winning teams advance to the semifinal championship in Las Vegas, then a grand finale at the Playboy Mansion in California. Playboy Playmates make appearances at each stage of the competitions and the winning teams are honored during an elaborate party at the Playboy Mansion.
"This is our first season and it's an honor to be selected to be a part of a national tournament," said Raven's Claw owner Bob Davis. "Our new clubhouse will be open in time for the tournament and we look forward to showing it off."
This is the first time the Playboy Tournament has held a qualifier in the Greater Philadelphia area and organizers were careful to ensure the tournament enjoyed a good launch.
"We knew that Raven's Claw was a new golf course, but we also knew that it was built with the idea of providing a quality total golf experience," said Randy Tantlinger, event coordinator. "We are very excited about presenting a great tournament on an excellent layout."
Spots still remain available for the Playboy Tournament. The fee for an individual player is $275, while corporate foursomes can be reserved for $1,000.
