Pros Get Win Over Amateurs in 60th Hudson Cup
The 60th edition of the Hudson Cup Matches concluded Friday at Riverside Golf & Country Club in Portland, Ore., and the professionals beat the amateurs 11½ points to 8½.
In the 17th annual Senior Hudson Cup, the professionals forged a decisive victory against the amateurs with a two-day point total of 12 to 8.
The Charles Congdon Award went to amateur Blake Seabaugh - who beat the favored Jeff Coston 4 and 3, and the Larry Lamberger Award was presented to professional Ryan Malby, who beat Sean Packer 5 and 4.
In the Senior Matches, the Bill Eggers Award was presented to amateur Tom Brandes, who managed a tie with Scott Krieger, and professional Bruce Stewart received the Bob McKendrick Award after beating Dick Shafer 6 and 5.
