PGA & LPGA Money Leaders

The seasons for the PGA and LPGA Tours are winding down. The only events - besides those in the "silly season" - left on the PGA schedule are the $4.2 million Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open (now underway in Las Vegas), the $7 million World Golf Championships-HSBC Champions in China November 5-8, and the $5.5 million OMEGA Mission Hills World Cup, also in China, November 26-29.

At the end of October on the LPGA Tour is the $1.7 million Hana Bank • KOLON Championship in South Korea October 30-November 1; the $1.4 million Mizuno Classic November 6-8 in Japan; the $1.1 million Lorena Ochoa Invitational by Banamex and Corona Light November 12-15 in Guadalajara, Mexico; and the season-ending $1.5 LPGA Tour Championship November 19-22 in Texas.

There might some slight adjustments on the following money-leader lists for each tour, though no one will be catching Tiger Woods on the PGA Tour, and a slightly better chance for an LPGA player to pass leader Jiyai Shin. Here are the top-25 money earners on both tours in 2009 as of October 16.
