Omega Mission Hills World Cup Set to Start
The Omega Mission Hills World Cup will take place November 27-30 at Mission Hills Golf Club in Shenzhen, China. The event will be held on the par-72, 7,251-yard Olazabal Course and features a $5.5 million purse.
The World Cup is a team competition with a field of 28 two-man contingents from every corner of the globe battling for the honor of their countries. The 54th edition will use a four-ball (better-ball) format on Days 1 and 3, and a foursomes (alternate shot) format on Days 2 and 4.
The defending champion is team Scotland. In 2007 Colin Montgomerie and Marc Warren defeated the United States' duo of Boo Weekley and Heath Slocum on the third playoff hole.
The event will be televised on the Golf Channel. Here are the air times:
Round 1 - 11.26, 10:30 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. (replay 11.27, 3 to 6 pm)
Round 2 - 11.27, 10:30 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. (replay 11.28, 3 to 6 pm)
Round 3 - 11.28, 10:30 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. (replay 11.29, 3 to 6 pm)
Round 4 - 11.29, 10:30 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. (replay 11.30, 3 to 6 pm)
