Marriott Golf Takes Over Willow Crest

Marriott Golf, the world's largest resort golf management company, has announced it will assume management of the golf facilities at Willow Crest Golf Club, a distinctive 18-hole championship golf course located at the Oak Brook Hills Resort in Oak Brook, Ill.
The announcement comes on the heels of Marriott International, Inc.'s (NYSE:MAR) announcement that the Oak Brook Hills Resort, in Oak Brook, Ill., has been re-flagged as the Oak Brook Hills Marriott Resort.
As part of it management of Willow Crest Golf Club, Marriott Golf will oversee all aspects of the club operation, including golf course maintenance, instructional programs, food and beverage services and overall golf programming. Willow Crest will operate under the guidance of the club's Director of Golf, Randy Bolstad, and Director of Grounds, David Behm.
"We're very excited to bring the Marriott Golf management expertise to Willow Crest Golf Club," said Ed Utz, Director of Marketing, Marriott Golf. "We look forward to enhancing all aspects of the club operation and continuing to position Willow Crest as one of the premier resort golf courses in Illinois."
The 18-hole championship Willow Crest Golf Club is the centerpiece of the Oak Brook Hills Marriott Resort. Designed by Dick Nugent, the course features contoured fairways, well-bunkered greens and an abundance of water. Wooden bridges and willow trees add to the course's character. The 6,397-yard layout boasts multiple tees to challenge all skill levels.
Marriott Golf currently manages 60 golf courses at 45 properties in 13 countries, offering more than 1,000 holes of championship golf. Marriott has been managing golf operations since 1970 and is currently the largest resort golf operator in the U.S.
