Major Project at Spanish Trail Nearly Complete

Spanish Trail Golf and Country Club in Las Vegas has been undergoing a $15 million renovation. The projects, set for completion in early November, include a completely renovated clubhouse and upgrades to its three nine-hole layouts.
Interior designer Herb Press is leading the redesign of the 50,000-square-foot clubhouse. Upgrades are being made to member areas, the lounge and bar, casual and formal dining areas and banquet facilities. Also involved are a new private fine-dining room and member wine cellar.
The alterations of the 27-hole course are intended to enhance the original Robert Trent Jones Jr. design. An unveiling is planned for Sunday, November 11, for members.
"We are calling this the year of the renaissance at Spanish Trail," said club general manager Dominic Guzzo. "Bringing our exclusive roster of members the best in amenities and an unparalleled golf experience is our mission. We look forward to delivering luxury at every level of the Club experience; from our food and beverage program, pro shop, locker room facilities, golf instruction and clinics, to our famed 27-hole course. Details truly do make the difference at Spanish Trail."
Other changes at Spanish Trail include the hiring of new head golf professional, Brad Apple, and its first-ever director of golf instruction, Jim McGurk. Both men bring considerable knowledge and credentials to their jobs. With over 30 years experience, Apple has worked at some of the top private clubs in the country, while McGurk has served as the personal instructor for the PGA Tour's Chris Smith over the past six years. McGurk was recently named a top golf instructor by Golf Digest.
Spanish Trail Golf and Country Club was founded in 1984 by the Blasco family and is the only private, nonprofit, 27-hole club in Las Vegas. The course, located within a 640-acre community, features three unique nine-hole layouts: Canyons, Lakes and Sunrise. The club also boasts 12 tennis courts and swimming facilities.
