Lee Wins Shortened Bahamas LPGA Classic

South Korea's Ilhee Lee finished the abbreviated Bahamas LPGA Classic in 11-under par 126. Because over 15 inches of rain fell on the course Tuesday, the $1.3 tournament used only 12 holes of the Ocean Club course as the other six remained underwater or damaged.

In order to make the results officials, the same 12-hole composite course was used Sunday to get in the mandatory 36 holes to make the event official. Over three "rounds," Lee posted 13 birdies - including five Sunday - and only two bogeys for the first win of her career.

American Irene Cho ended up at 9-under 128, while another stroke back was Norway's Anna Nordqvist.

Cho was disappointed the entire Ocean Club layout wasn't used, but was pleased the tournament was completed. "I wish we got to see the rest of the golf course because it's really, really pretty, and it's a great look out on the ocean. But kudos to the maintenance crew for having us finish on hole 18, which is only the second time I've played it."

Tied for fourth at 7-under were Americans Paula Creamer, Mindy Kim and Cristie Kerr, Japan's Mika Miyazato and France's Karine Icher.

Colombia's Paola Moreno began the final round with a one-stroke lead, but could only muster four bogeys Sunday to drop into a tie for 13th at 5-under.
