Killington Golf Course Opening May 5th

Officials with Killington Golf Course are aiming for a May 5th opening of the 18-hole, par-72 layout. “Crews have been working to wake the course from its winter hibernation,” said Dave Pfannenstein, director of golf. ”The recent warm temperatures have really provided a head start in prepping the course for play and we’re very excited to kick off the season.”

Killington Resort’s 6,186-yard course features mountainous terrain. It also boasts a golf-training facility with a 12,000-square-foot practice putting green and 15-station driving range. In addition, there are pitching and chipping areas, practice sand bunkers and a video-review center.

For golfers who play frequently, Killington Resort offers numerous season pass products this season, including:
Seven-Day $775: Pass includes unlimited golf. Tee times may be booked seven-days in advance.
Midweek $595: Pass includes unlimited golf Monday through Friday and space available play on Sunday afternoons. Tee times may be booked seven days in advance for midweek play.
Space Available $495: Pass includes golf privileges seven days a week on a space-available basis. Tee times may be booked one day in advance. Deadline to purchase this pass is June 1, 2006.
Midweek Space Available $349: Pass includes golf privileges Monday through Friday on a space-available basis. Tee times may be booked one day in advance. Deadline to purchase this pass is June 1, 2006.
Walking is permitted at any time for pass holders. Cart fees are not included in season passes and are $9 per pass holder for nine holes and $13 per pass holder for 18 holes. Cart fees include a 6% Vermont State Sales Tax.
Daily 18-hole greens fees are $52 (Monday through Friday) and $57 (Saturday and Sunday). Nine-hole rates are $30 anytime weekdays and after 5 pm weekends. Twilight fees start at 3 pm and are $35 for 18-holes. Cart fees start at $10 for 9 holes, $17 for 18 holes and $13 for twilight. Club rentals start at $15. Greens and cart fees do not include 6% Vermont State Sales Tax. Driving range fees are $3 per bucket. To order season passes, call 802/422-6700.

The Mountain Golf School at Killington

The Mountain Golf School at Killington is structured to build each facet of one's game, from basic form to game strategy. Golfers of all levels will spend each morning in a small group receiving one-on-one attention from a pro. After a detailed swing analysis, students will develop their skills in such areas as bunker play, full swing, putting, chipping, and pitching.

The Mountain Golf School at Killington offers two-day weekend or three-day weekday packages that include lodging, instruction each day, daily greens fee, cart rental, unlimited use of the practice facilities, roving on-course professional assistance for two hours after each class and lunch daily. Golf School Packages start at $171 per person per night, plus tax and gratuity. Private lessons are available at an additional cost.
