GolfTripGenius.com Launches New, Web-hosted Solutions that Make Any Golf Trip More Fun
January 28, 2010. GolfTripGenius.com, a new software-as-service company, today announced at the 2010 PGA Merchandise Show the immediate availability of the www.GolfTripGenius.com website, featuring the GTG Tournament Engine and the GTG Scheduler, the most advanced solutions ever developed for both enhancing the fun and overcoming the common hurdles associated with group golf travel. The GTG Tournament Engine is first-of-its kind software that enables the design and administration of a variety of single and multi-day trip competitions for golf travelers. The GTG Scheduler examines millions of possible player combinations in seconds, and then automatically computes optimized "pairings" by assigning golfers to foursomes or threesomes in every round based on tournament-driven or user-specified rules.
"We've talked to hundreds of traveling golfers, and they've told us how golf trips could be even more fun," commented Mike Zisman, GolfTripGenius founder and CEO. "We've developed powerful but easy-to-use software tools that we think will make every group golf trip more exciting and less work, whether it's 8 guys off to Myrtle Beach, or a group of 16 touring Scotland." GolfTripGenius is not a golf tour operator or travel service, but provides golf trip solutions that are highly complementary to traditional tour operator and resort services.
The GTG Scheduler, GTG Trip Dashboard, and GTG Message Board are available as part of GolfTripGenius.com's newly released Free Edition and Pro Edition. The Pro Edition enables more advanced pairings control allowing for a high degree of customization. The GTG Tournament Engine and the GTG Trip Accountant, an innovative tool for managing and allocating group expenses, are provided exclusively as part of the company's Genius Edition.
Matthew Barnes, Director of Relationship Marketing to the Ambassador Program at PGA Magazine, who has used early versions of the GTG Scheduler to organize multi-day PGA ambassador events at several US and international golf destinations, remarks, "GolfTripGenius has saved me an enormous amount of time. I have used it on several trips, and the results have been great."
The different Editions offer progressively richer functionality, but even the Free Edition provides optimized golf group scheduling, a captain's trip dashboard and a group messaging board. The Pro Edition is priced at $11.95 and the Genius Edition at $24.95, both per golfer, per trip. These price points are likely to be less than 1% of any traveling golfer's expense outlay on a given trip. To learn more about the Free Edition, go to www.golftripgenius.com/free-edition.com.
GolfTripGenius.com was founded in 2009 to introduce a new category of innovative, web-based golf travel solutions to recreational golfers, resort and golf destination managers, and PGA of America professionals. Powering these solutions is the first-time use of operations research programming and advanced mathematical algorithms applied to commercial golf scheduling and tournament design problems. The resulting low cost, online products provide benefits that greatly enhance any golf trip experience.
