GolfTEC Announces Instructors for Seattle Operation |
|
February 5, 2008. The recently opened South Lake Union in Seattle GolfTEC is staffed by three certified personal coaches. Mark Roberts, Todd Barney and Laurie Hillyard will serve as coaches in the first of eight planned Puget Sound-area GolfTEC improvement centers.
Combining leading technology with personal coaching, GolfTEC is the leading national chain of golf improvement facilities, providing golfers of all skill levels the opportunity to use digital video, impact analysis, biofeedback technology and motion-evaluation computers to develop their swing. Certified personal coaches provide all instruction in private, indoor bays.
"Our instructors offer a combination of extensive personal golf experience with a gift for passing on their skills and knowledge to others," said Brett Allen, owner of Jet City Golf, the Washington State franchise holder for GolfTEC. "Clients can expect coaches that really care about improving their game."
Roberts has nearly 25 years of experience in the golf industry. A Class A member of the PGA of America he has served many roles at some of the finest facilities in the Pacific Northwest. Previously, he was the Director of Instruction at Willows Run in Redmond, Wash., head professional and general manager at Widgi Creek Golf Club in Bend, Ore., among others. He spent the last year working at GolfTEC of San Carlos, Calif., before coming to Seattle to help open GolfTEC in Seattle.
Hillyard has over 10 years of experience in the industry. She has served throughout the United States as first a golf assistant and then a golf instructor. She most recently served as an instructor at Premier Golf Centers, LLC, where she was a certified Performance Institute Golf Fitness Instructor Level 2. Hillyard has attended numerous training seminars and volunteered at several events as a member of the Ladies Professional Golf Association.
