Golf Orlando Announces Extreme Golf Makeover Contest Winner

Golf Orlando, a golf marketing co-op comprised of 14 courses in Central Florida, has announced the winner of its "Extreme Golf Makeover" contest. The winning entry belongs to Andrew Gattens from Murrysville, Pa. Over 20,000 entries were received on the Golf Orlando website between June 1 and September 30, 2006.

Gattens will stay at the Orlando World Marriott for four days and three nights. The Orlando resort, the largest Marriott in the world, will serve Gattens’ "home away from home" while in Florida.

Hawk's Landing Golf Club at the resort will provide Gattens two days of golf instruction at the Bill Madonna Golf Academy. Bill Madonna has been studying golf for over 30 years and was recently honored as one of the Top 100 Teachers in the country by Golf Magazine.

Gattens will also receive a new set of TaylorMade clubs and a full line of apparel from Nike Golf & Ahead. The wardrobe will include shoes, shirts, shorts, and even outerwear for cooler weather. A year's supply of golf balls is also included, compliments of various Golf Orlando members.
