Fister, James Lead Power Parade to Dallas

Three-time world long-drive champion Sean "The Beast" Fister of Little Rock, Ark., headlines the field for the May 9-11 RE/MAX of Texas Shoot-Out Presented by Toyota of Lewisville. Dallas is the second 2007 stop on the professional long drive circuit conducted by Roanoke-based Long Drivers of America (LDA).
Fister heads the open division field of 58 competitors that includes former RE/MAX world champions Carl Wolter and David Mobley, as well as 2006 Texas Shoot-Out winner John Downey. Texas challengers include Plano's Nyle Pruitt (fourth at the Texas Shoot-Out in 2006) and Hideaway's Mat Vilade.
Two-time reigning world senior champion Gerry James of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., leads the 14-hitter senior division field, which includes former world champions Bobby Wilson and Mike Gorton. James won the senior division title at the season-opening event in Mesquite, Nevada, in February. Wilson, a Waco native now residing in Little Rock, is the defending champion.
The RE/MAX of Texas Shoot-Out open division winner will earn $11,000 and the senior division champion $3,500 from a total purse of $55,000.
