Fister, James Lead Power Parade to Dallas |

Three-time world long-drive champion Sean "The Beast" Fister of Little Rock, Ark., headlines the field for the May 9-11 RE/MAX of Texas Shoot-Out Presented by Toyota of Lewisville. Dallas is the second 2007 stop on the professional long drive circuit conducted by Roanoke-based Long Drivers of America (LDA).
Fister heads the open division field of 58 competitors that includes former RE/MAX world champions Carl Wolter and David Mobley, as well as 2006 Texas Shoot-Out winner John Downey. Texas challengers include Plano's Nyle Pruitt (fourth at the Texas Shoot-Out in 2006) and Hideaway's Mat Vilade.
Two-time reigning world senior champion Gerry James of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., leads the 14-hitter senior division field, which includes former world champions Bobby Wilson and Mike Gorton. James won the senior division title at the season-opening event in Mesquite, Nevada, in February. Wilson, a Waco native now residing in Little Rock, is the defending champion.
The RE/MAX of Texas Shoot-Out open division winner will earn $11,000 and the senior division champion $3,500 from a total purse of $55,000.

Friday finals begin at 8 p.m. following a 7 p.m. celebrity long drive challenge featuring past and present NFL players, including Dallas Cowboys Tony Romo and Terance Newman. ESPN golf announcer Roger Twibell will emcee the Friday night finals, which will include a power exhibition and trick-shot show by LDA chief executive officer Art Sellinger.
