David Leadbetter Golf Academy to Open at Wailea

David Leadbetter Golf Academy has signed an agreement to open a school at Wailea Golf Club in Hawaii. The academy will tentatively open later this spring.
"We're thrilled to be the site of the first David Leadbetter Golf Academy in Hawaii," said Anne Takabuki, president and chief operating officer of Wailea Golf LLC. "This association with Mr. Leadbetter is a superb fit for a premium golf destination such as Wailea."
Recognized as a leading golf instructor, Leadbetter is often associated with his contribution to the successes of Nick Faldo, and continues to work with Nick Price, Ernie Els, Justin Rose, Charles Howell III, Sean O'Hair, Tevor Immelman and Hawaii's own Michelle Wie. There are currently 30 full-time David Leadbetter Golf Academy locations in 14 countries in North America, Europe and Asia.
Wailea Golf Club is one of the largest golf facilities in Hawaii, with three par-72 courses – Gold, Emerald and Blue – that are consistently ranked among the best in the country. Each winter, the resort hosts the televised Wendy's Champions Skins Game.
Tee times may be reserved up to 30 days in advance. For more information about the Wailea Golf Club, call 888/328-MAUI or visit www.waileagolf.com.
