Date Set for 2007 Seattle Golf Show

The ninth annual Seattle Golf Show will be held March 16-18, 2007, at Qwest Field Event Center, the venue in downtown Seattle where the event has been held for the past six years. The event is the largest consumer golf show on the West Coast, and is viewed as the official opening of the region’s golf season.
“The mid-March dates are more in line with the Northwest golf season,” said Troy Andrew, Senior Director of Communications for the Pacific Northwest Golf Association, co-owners of the event. “Winter sports are coming to a close, golf courses and resorts are staffing up, and people are starting to pull their clubs out of the closet.”
During its three-day run, over 175 exhibitors will open their doors to the golfing public, the region’s golf associations will conduct meetings and seminars, and the game’s leading manufacturers will display the newest club technology. The business and golfing community has responded to the event, with attendance at the past three shows increasing by 15 percent over the previous years.
New for this year will be the ability of the event’s attendees to buy new products on the show floor. Along with the chance to pick up the once-a-year bargains from the region’s top pro shops, golfers can purchase the most up-to-date 2007 items on the market. “It¹s what people kept telling us they wanted, and this year we’re able to offer it to them,” said Jeff Ellison, Executive Director of the Pacific Northwest Section of the PGA, co-owners of the show. “It’s a no-brainer.”
With the same attractions as last year, including a free round of golf to all paid adult attendees and a chance for a hole-in-one on the turf at Qwest Field, along with newer additions, the show continues as an established tradition on the region’s sporting scene.
The Seattle Golf Show is co-owned by the Pacific Northwest Golf Association and the Pacific Northwest Section of the PGA.
