Cybergolf Writer's Book now in Stores |
|
David Wood, a regular contributor to Cybergolf, has released his new book. "Around the World in Eighty Rounds" is now on sale in bookstores and on Amazon.
Wood also played some of the world's most extreme layouts: the highest course in La Paz, Bolivia; the driest course in Arica, Chile, at the edge of the Atacama Desert; and the world's hottest course in Alice Springs, Australia.
His favorite locales were China's Spring City in Kunming, Royal Nepal in Katmandu, the Moscow Country Club in Russia, and Elephant Hills in Zimbabwe. In all, Wood traveled and golfed in 26 countries - including Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Bolivia, New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, China, India, Nepal, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Egypt, Turkey, Hungary, Russia, Finland and Norway.
In addition to his writings for Cybergolf and various golf magazines, Wood is a stand-up comedian who's made several appearances on "Late Night with David Letterman." He's also an in-demand speaker, offering his "Adventure Keynote" at golf and corporate functions.
Wood's book, now in stores, is priced at $24.95. It features a foreword written by noted golf writer, Turk Pipkin. For comments or inquiries on having him speak to your group, contact David at David@DavidWoodSpeaking.com.
