Coral Creek Opens New Clubhouse |
|
Coral Creek Club, a private facility that features a Tom Fazio-designed golf course, has held a grand opening for its new clubhouse. The club is located across the causeway from Gasparilla Island and Boca Grande in Placida, Fla.
The entry to Coral Creek Club is a lushly landscaped boulevard lined with royal palms. The clubhouse style reflects a turn-of-the-century "Old Florida" feel. The exterior, built with white clapboards and black shutters and black louvers in the roof gables, complements Coral Creek Club's existing Golf House in architecture and design.
Once inside, the new 17,000-square-foot structure offers members and guests views of the course and surrounding 6,000-acre nature preserve. The natural area near the mangrove-fringed Coral Creek, a salt-water estuary that flows into the Gulf of Mexico, boasts a considerable variety of birds and wildlife.
The clubhouse also features men's and ladies locker rooms, each with their own lounge and card rooms; a dining room; and an outdoor porch and gazebo.
