Coosaw Creek CC Hires Private Club Associates
May 27, 2009. Coosaw Creek, a semiprivate golf course and country club in Charleston, S.C., has hired Private Club Associates of Georgia (PCA) to guide in the transition from corporate management to being member-owned and managed. PCA will also work with the club's management and board of directors to enhance the club's programming and develop an effective membership marketing plan.
"We are partnering with Private Club Associates to tackle the challenges many clubs see today - diminished use by members and area golfers, declining membership growth, and tough economic conditions. We hope to gain momentum and return the Board to our primary purpose of planning," said Bill Simoson, board chairman for Coosaw Creek Country Club.
"Coosaw Creek is a gracious club with an excellent course, rated four stars by Golf Digest, in a stable, highly trafficked market - the potential is there. We are thrilled to be working with the new Club Leadership." says Ted Robinson, president of Private Club Associates.
Surrounded by majestic oaks and towering pines, Coosaw Creek Country Club (www.coosawcreek.com) has 625 members and posted 27,000 golf rounds in 2008.
Private Club Associates (www.privateclubassociates.com) is a small group of club professionals whose systematic, innovative approaches deliver consistent results. Since 1986 the company has offered consulting and management services to city, fitness, yacht and golf and country clubs across the Southeast.
