Cimarrón Announces All-Inclusive Rate for 2002-03

In September 1, 2002, Cimarrón Golf Resort in Palm Springs announced it is offering an exclusive, all-inclusive rate to resort golfers for the 2002-03 golf season. The move was spurred by Internet pricing, wholesalers, and increased competition that has led consumers to shop for the best deals. Changes in travel and the economy have also forced golf course owners to get more creative with providing services and amenities for guests.
“We are well aware of the perception that resort golf is becoming more and more expensive in the Coachella Valley,” says Jason Setterlund, director of sales and marketing for Cimarrón. “The golf consumer knows of the options available in the desert and has become more savvy when discerning value. Cimarrón will continue to provide value.”
“There was a time when you could set your rate anywhere and expect to fill your tee sheet. That time is over,” said Mark Goulet, Cimarrón’s head golf professional. “When people open their wallets to extract $100 or more, they expect seamless service and exceptional value.”
For $95 in the fall and $105 this winter, Cimarrón will offer unlimited golf (with some restrictions), practice balls, a sleeve of premium balls with the Cimarrón logo, breakfast or lunch at the resort’s Leapin’ Lizards Bistro, and a discount on golf shop merchandise.
Cimarrón Golf Resort features two world-class layouts designed by John Fought. Named after a vibrant purple flower, Cimarrón also means “wild and untamed.” Enhancing the stark beauty of the desert, the course utilizes European-style design characteristics such as sod-walled bunkers filled with white, crushed marble set against creatively contoured, verdant fairways. By combining an imaginative mix of desert golf with the European links styling reminiscent of old Scotland, Cimarrón is a wonderful place to golf.
Cimarrón’s all-inclusive rate is the resort’s latest effort to provide the greatest value for its customers. Cimarrón will continue with its present programs, which focus on service and value. They include:
· The Cimarrón Frequent Player Card · Cimarrón’s “Member Of The Day” Program · Player Etiquette Rewards Program · The Progressive Player Card
Along with these programs, Cimarrón offers golf packages with many Coachella Valley hotels to fit any budget. For more information, call toll-free at 877-955-6233, or visit them on the web at http://www.cimarrongolf.com.
