Carolina's Outer Banks Courses Survive Sandy

While Hurricane Sandy devastated many areas of the East Coast and some parts of the North Carolina's Outer Banks were affected by sustained wind and rain, the area's golf courses have reported no damage and have reopened for play.

Kilmarlic Golf Club and The Carolina Club welcomed golfers on October 30, while The Currituck Club, Nags Head Golf Links and The Pointe Golf Club had some minor clean up and plan to greet golfers on Halloween.

"The Outer Banks and its people are very resilient," said life-long resident Bryan Sullivan of Kilmarlic Golf Club and Outer Banks Golf Association. "We are open for golf again."
