Andrade-Faxon Raise Funds For Children |
|
Billy Andrade and Brad Faxon, through their charity Andrade-Faxon Charities for Children, will send kids to camp, pay for heating oil and electric utilities, purchase kids prescriptions, medical supplies, and nutritious meals, and will fund a children's fitness program in the year 2006.
Over $239,000 have been distributed to the 41 local children's charities that applied for funding last fall. These contributions are in addition to the group’s $100,000 donation to the R.I. Chapter of the American Red Cross for families residing in Rhode Island as a result of Hurricane Katrina. The recipient charities are:

A recent thank-you letter to Andrade-Faxon Charities for Children from the Boys & Girls Club of Warwick, stated, "This generous donation will help our organization continue to provide the youth of Rhode Island's second largest city with a safe, educational and fun place to go and spend their after-school hours."
Proceeds from a celebrity golf tournament, the CVS Charity Classic, and individual donations are the three primary sources of revenue for the charity. Andrade-Faxon Charities for Children accepts applications for funding from child-related groups throughout the year. This year's grant total is $239,064, bringing the total amount given away by Andrade-Faxon Charities for Children to over $4 million since its inception.
