A recent thank-you letter to Andrade-Faxon Charities for Children from the Boys & Girls Club of Warwick, stated, "This generous donation will help our organization continue to provide the youth of Rhode Island's second largest city with a safe, educational and fun place to go and spend their after-school hours."
Andrade and Faxon formed Andrade-Faxon Charities for Children in 1990. "Golf has put us in a position, where we are so fortunate to be able to help so many youngsters in the state of Rhode Island and within Southeastern Massachusetts," said Faxon.
Proceeds from a celebrity golf tournament, the CVS Charity Classic, and individual donations are the three primary sources of revenue for the charity. Andrade-Faxon Charities for Children accepts applications for funding from child-related groups throughout the year. This year's grant total is $239,064, bringing the total amount given away by Andrade-Faxon Charities for Children to over $4 million since its inception.
